My approach to photography is about curated, genuine remembrance.
I want to create a living visual journal with visual communication that celebrates remembrance--your past, your everyday stories, your foundation.
GENUINE
"Write one sentence; write the truest sentence you know." Ernest Hemingway said this in regard to successful writing, but I apply it to my photography by aiming for every photo to tell the truth, and tell it as beautifully as possible.
The true beauty of life is its everyday form: The messy, imperfect, pure, wonderful truth of you.
CELEBRATING REMEMBRANCE
In preserving the experience of who we are today, we create a time capsule that is not meant to be buried, but displayed, remembered and interacted with again and again; a living journal that communicates with our past, present and the future. Our photos go beyond just our lives! Our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren remember our lives through our photos, and this is why we celebrate remembrance: It is our ally. It is our legacy.
CURATED
In curating stories, I pick only the most truthful images that best represent and tell its story. Instead of a mass influx of photos, I pick only the best of those photos. This ensures a genuine story, a precise telling, and an excellent delivery on each individual photo.
